What is Mobile Design?
Mobile Design is a more traditional approach, which is the design and development of a website specifically tailored for mobile devices, such as iPhones, Androids, or Windows phones. The main difference between a Mobile Design and a Responsive Web Design is that a Mobile Design is customized and built for mobiles devices to provide web visitors with a unique and fully custom mobile experience. Whereas a Responsive Web Design is a singular design that “responds” to a range of devices and screen sizes, and automatically adjusts its content and layout to fit those devices.
Why Mobile Design?
Mobile design gives you complete control over your mobile website and allows you to fully customize how your content is displayed. This may be beneficial to you if you have a content rich website with a lot of images, videos or HTML5 coding, which do not scale well with Responsive Web Design. On mobile devices, people want to do tasks like easily navigate a page, find locations, make reservations, or take photos and upload them, and these are just a few examples where Mobile Design can solve much better than Responsive Web Design.
